Mission Partners

The needs in Lee’s Summit and surrounding city and in the world are great and we are helping meet those needs through strategic relationships with our mission partners. Learn more about our mission partners below.

Veterans Community Project

Veterans Community Project is dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath for our country. They are determined to make a difference in the lives of homeless Veterans, a task accomplished by the community for the community.

They are building a specialized community of tiny-homes to provide housing stability and address the underlying cause of the Veteran’s homelessness.

Casas por Cristo

We’re partnering with Casas por Cristo in Guatemala in 2019! Casas por Cristo exists to open the door for local pastors and churches to share the love of Jesus Christ by serving. While there, our team will be building a single home for a family in need while sharing the Good News of Jesus. Learn more about Casas por Cristo here.

Our team is headed to San Raymundo, Guatemala June 9-15, 2019. To learn more about the trip you can contact Mission Coordinator, Pam Reilly today.

Hillcrest Transitional Housing

We're about helping people get back on their feet – for good. Through our partnership with Hillcrest Transitional Housing of Lee’s Summit, we don’t just give a hand out, we help give a hand-up, helping people go from homeless to self sufficiency through an incredible 90 day program. 95% of the people who walk into Hillcrest without a home, without a job, without hope – graduate with all of those things, as well as the confidence to start life out fresh again.

Adult volunteers at an elementary school helping students

Lee's Summit Elementary School

Located in downtown Lee's Summit, Lee's Summit Elementary School's purpose in education is to develop the necessary skills for life and learning. In addition to providing top-notch education, "extras" such as friends, mentors, activities, special gestures, and fun are part of the LSE experience. These "extras" make memories that embody the very roots of our community. Through our partnership with LSE, we provide mentors in classrooms, Christmas gifts each year and funding for the CARES program to meet the physical needs of students.

To find out more and to volunteer at Lee's Summit Elementary, email Jan Higdon.

Lee's Summit Social Services

Right here in our own community, Lee’s Summit Social Services is where the people on the front line of fighting against hunger and poverty are hard at work. LSSS is a local, non-profit organization that for 20 years has served the community through its Thrift Store, Food Pantry, and services to help people budget, pay utilities and find employment, among many other things.

We proudly support Lee’s Summit Social Services throughout the year and have daily opportunities for you to help out in the food pantry or thrift store.
