Summit Lunch Program
A total of 12,049 lunches were served during the 2016 summer break.
That's a lot of lunches! So what is the Summit Lunch Program?
Summit Lunch provides a balanced nutritional meal once a day for children during their summer break. Lunch is provided five days a week, Monday - Friday and it begins Tuesday, May 23. Our team prepares and delivers these meals to designated areas in our Lee's Summit community. Summit Lunch Program runs through our Downtown Campus at 114 SE Douglas St, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.
Do you want to be a part of fighting hunger in Lee's Summit?
See below for our volunteer opportunities:
You can help us prepare lunches in our church kitchen on weekdays from 10-11:30am. Kitchen volunteers must be 13 years or older. We are excited to say the kitchen crew is full but we are still in need of subs below!
You can help us deliver lunches on weekdays from 11:10am-12:45pm. This offers the best opportunities to get to know the kids and families we serve. Driver positions are full but we are still looking for subs!
Be a sub! Fill in for vacations/emergencies in the food prep or meal delivery. We still are looking for subs!
Monetary Donations always go strictly to our Summit Lunch expenses.
Special thanks to both the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation and Truman Heartland Foundation for their generous financial support.
