Hillcrest Transitional Housing Program

Hillcrest Transitional Housing Program is one of our mission partners who provide a Christian environment that helps homeless families become self-supportive. Hillcrest Thrift Store helps support the program and you can be a part of the Volunteer team. Just pick a day a week, three hours a couple of times a week or whatever fits your schedule to help out in the store. Opportunities to help with accepting donations, pricing items, assisting customers and more are available. Mother's of Refuge

Mother's Refuge is an amazing organization in Independence MO. They take in pregnant women with no resources and help them through their pregnancies and their first year of motherhood. They teach women life skills, help them set goals, and get them back on their feet. There are plenty of opportunities to lend a hand, they're looking for volunteers who can: mentor, tutor, babysit, help around the office, house sit, do minor maintenance, yard work and assist with fundraising.
